Well it’s almost here – our annual Xmas social and quiz meeting will be next Tuesday (the last of the Tuesday meetings – before we revert to Monday meetings in the New Year)
The committee met virtually last night and worked out what we will be doing, so blame them – but most important of all is that “significant others” are invited! – we already know of 4 that have confirmed their attendance, so there is no excuse for any of them staying away!
We will be having some goodies to eat – we will be providing a tray of sandwiches as a starter, and everyone will be welcome to bring sausage rolls/mince pies/smoked salmon/last years Xmas cake or whatever comes to hand…and the bar is there for the usual beverages.
Entertainment wise we will be having the Christmas quiz, including both technical questions and definitely not technical questions, (so a distinct advantage to having a partner there…) – so remember to bring pencil and paper!
We will also have the projector setup – Paul G4CSD will be bringing some pictures from his recent visit to Iceland to see the Northern lights, and anyone else is welcome to bring pictures (images or PPT slides on a USB stick) that they think might be of interest to the assembled group – anything goes, but keep it clean! (Field day bloopers could be fun…)
So, with the usual informal glass filling start time of 7:30 for 8:00pm, be ready for a fun session… c u there!
