Listen to GB3BA Live is currently down as we work towards an SDR based solution, stay tuned!

Repeater status as of 21st September 2024 – FREQUENCY CHANGE:

Thanks to the efforts of Nikki M7NEC and Noel G8GTZ, we now have a new 70 cm Repeater serving the Basingstoke area. The callsign is unchanged as GB3BA, and the updated details are:

Band: 70cm  (RBW26)  Output frequency: 433.3250 MHz  RX Frequency: 438.325 MHz

(You transmit on 438.325 MHz while the repeater transmits on 433.325 MHz)

This repeater is licensed for ANALOGUE VOICE repeat mode and uses a CTCSS tone of 71.9 Hz

The repeater is currently running 5w source power (approx 25w EIRP). See the below propagation maps for expected coverage

Nets:
We have regular ‘net’ sessions every Monday evening, other than Club nights, and with a particular emphasis on the first Monday of each month, plus Wednesdays simplex @145.4MHz. Listen out for us at 8 pm on the Basingstoke Repeater, GB3BA. If you don’t hear anything at 8 pm, put out a call yourself to prompt replies from any shy lurkers!

Propagation Maps:

Utilising radiomobile, new work in progress propagation maps for GB3BA have been created by Cain M0SUC. Purple and green areas should expect excellent reception, yellow moderate, and red weak. No colour indicates no signal. These maps are quite large, click the thumbnails to see the full image.
